The Trinity
We believe that there is but one God through which everything was created. This magnificent, all-powerful God is one spiritual being consisting of three distinct persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:4-6.
God, the Father
We believe Abba Father is holy. So pure is His holiness that mere humans cannot be in His presence. We believe Father God, from the beginning of time, understood our weaknesses and shortcomings, and therefore, planned for our redemption through His Son, Jesus Christ, so that we could be heirs to His eternal kingdom. As believers, we are the precious, adopted children of this great God. 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 1:1-4
God, the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is the one true Son of God. We believe in the perfection of Jesus as our Savior and our Lord. It is our belief, that through Jesus, and Him alone, we are saved from our sins and brought into a right relationship with the Father that is eternal. It is through belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus that believers become a part of the Kingdom family. We are grateful for and humbled by the sacrifice of Jesus. Mark 1:9-11; John 1:1-4; John 5:21-23; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 8:6
God, the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us after we are saved from our sinful state. He is a masterful guide. Through the Holy Spirit’s leadership, we can become effective and productive workers for the Kingdom and live in a way that is worthy of the grace and mercy we have received. John 14:15-18; John 16:7-14; Romans 8:9-11
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s love letter to the world. We believe all scripture was inspired by God and that it is a complete, infallible communication from God to us. We acknowledge that only when the instructions laid out in the Bible are followed can one achieve the fullness of life that God intended for us to have. Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalm 119:105-106; 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Salvation
We believe all of mankind is spiritually lost without the gift of salvation provided by Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus’ perfect nature that the spilling of His blood on the Cross was an acceptable atonement for the sins of the world and that the belief in His life, death, and resurrection is the key to eternal life. Luke 24:46-47; John 3:16-17; John 14:6; Romans 3:25-26; Romans 10:9-13; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:8-9
The Church
We believe God’s ideal plan for the Church, also called the Bride of Christ, is a coming together of all Christians united under His direction with mutual respect and equality of all. Though the body of Christ consists of many local churches, the Church is represented by each child of God walking in his/her gifting for the sole purpose of pointing others to Christ. In other words, the Church, though one entity, consist of many members and may be displayed by local church gatherings or even individual children of God striving toward the same goal as the bigger body of Christ. We believe it is God’s desire that every man, woman, and child be equipped for Kingdom work and that Christ is the authoritative head of that work. Romans 15:5-7: 1 Corinthians 12:12-28; Galatians 3:26-29; Galatians 6:10; Ephesians 4:11-13
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that the Bible speaks clearly about the spiritual giftings of a follower of Christ. In that, we believe there are different spiritual gifts given to different followers based solely on the direction and decision of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit alone decides which person and which gifting will be paired and becomes the conduit in which that person’s spiritual gifting is developed. We believe that the command to evangelize and disciple is a directive given to each individual follower and his/her gifting is a manifestation of his/her assignment. Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10; 1 Peter 4:11
Women in Ministry
We believe in the covenant relationships established by God between Christ and the Church (men/women), between husband and wife, and between the faithful followers of Christ (brothers/sisters in the body). Genesis 2:21-24; John 13:34; Romans 12:10; Ephesians 4:1-3; Ephesians 5:22-25; Colossians 1:17-18
We believe Christ’s act to die on a cross for all brings equality and mutual respect to the body of Christ. The beauty of the Bride of Christ is the diversity of its members, which are unified with Christ and each other for Kingdom purposes. We believe Christ utilizes all members of the body regardless of race, gender, nationality, or ethnicity. Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 9:37-38; Acts 2:17-18; Acts 10:34-35; Romans 2:9-11; Galatians 3:26-29
We believe there are general precepts and specific ordinances given by God for the local church to observe when gathering and we are respectful of how each denomination has interpreted those instructions. However, we believe God directs the overall spread of the gospel and acknowledge His use of whomever He chooses in the manner He chooses to accomplish His will. Isaiah 11:2-3; Isaiah 30:21; Isaiah 40:13-14; Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 14:26
We believe that all Christian women are valued, equipped, and gifted by God for the purpose of spreading the gospel. We stand on the examples given by Jesus who:
We believe a strong, confident Christian woman with humility and grace is a true asset to the body of Christ. Proverbs 31:25-26; Proverbs 31:30; Luke 1:45; Ephesians 3:6, 10-12
We believe God has a high calling for every Christian woman. In that we acknowledge that the Scriptures show women have been privileged to be used in various roles as seen in the home, in the Church, and in the marketplace to God’s glory.
Lastly, we believe a Christian woman’s calling is, and must be respected as, a direct instruction from God. Although by the Holy Spirit we may be able to discern our calling as ours, we cannot fully know the relationship and conversation between God and another. The Bible simply states you will know them by their fruit. Matthew 7:15-20; Ephesians 4:15-16
